Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the Rodeo world
Scenario
A farming family in Montana encounters others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget”; Montanan accent and reverts to the social speaking tone he usually uses.

On WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows Off the Radar (2018). (The review is for the first two seasons only) I didn’t expect to like this series, but the plot, acting and cinematography are excellent. It’s basically mob warfare in Montana, with intermittent, massive doses of testosterone (cowboys with guns on horses while fishing)!
The show gets lean early in the second season, but picks up again halfway through
The show is at its best when it shows how the chessboard moves the Duttons and their enemies get involved. Kelsey Asbille is Monica’s weakest link and plays a bad hand, the plot takes awkward detours and the acting is just wrong. I think Cole Hauser’s performance as Rip is the strongest (next to Costner himself) and any scenes involving Rip are welcome.
Thomas Rainwater is also great
The plot is buzzing, the scenery is beautiful. As Cormac McCarthy "All the Pretty Horses" was a little more raw and violent than the title suggests, this show is similarly striking. I highly recommend it and wish I didn’t have to wait so long to see it..
