Exploring key, twisted moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it takes audiences into uncharted territory. Chadwick Boseman’s final Marvel project before his death. The Guardian: [narration at the beginning of each episode] Time. Space. Reality. It’s more than a linear path. It’s a prism of infinite possibilities, where one decision can branch into infinite realities, and alternate worlds emerge from the worlds you know. I am the Guardian. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question: “What if?” After the Marvel logo appears, it switches to animated form in the show’s art style. Inserted into Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very simple episode where things are rushed to make the pieces fit together correctly. And my expression was pretty clear when I watched this episode too, because there was no tension or logical story. I understand that this is an animated series maybe aimed at children? But only those kids who are familiar with the entire MCU by now might enjoy them. We’ll see how the rest of the episodes turn out, but after this one I’m definitely not looking forward to them as much. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real sense of what the MCU is all about, it was creative and thoughtful, with great WHAT IF moments. I really enjoyed seeing T’Challa back on screen. However, episode 3 was a knockout and made me edit this review. It was so exciting and thrilling to watch, I could have watched an entire movie based on this episode. The characters we know are explored again on a level that leaves you wanting more. I hope to achieve a 10-star episode by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s my star for a “strange” episode that is thought-provoking and by far the best in terms of writing, voice acting, animation, and plot. Special credit goes to Benedict Cumberbatch for his masterful voice. Kudos to Marvel for this achievement. And now for episode 5: The episode was definitely entertaining, it was witty and captivating with quality animation, but it also gave away too much while not giving viewers enough time to soak things in. All in all, still a 9/10 for the series, at least until the next two episodes. You have to beat episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
